About Higher Ground, Inc.
and Our Purpose and Mission...
Higher Ground, Incorporated, was founded by the
Reverend Ronald I. Whitney on July 30, 1969.
Higher Ground, Incorporated
was founded for the purposes of sponsoring Christian events,
organizing
interdenominational community happenings in various cities and providing a
platform
for a variety of ways to reach out to teens and adults with the Gospel
of Jesus Christ.
Higher Ground, Incorporated also provides
evangelistic services, speaking, singing, worship
leading, and bringing people
into a closer relationship with Jesus.
Some specific events we have organized and sponsored are:
- Andrae Crouch Event, 1971
- Tri-County Rally, 1976
- sponsored Liberty Players, 1976
- produced radio broadcast
'Appointment With God' for 2 years
out of Seattle studios for the Seattle and Phoenix radio audiences - sponsors of Gospel
MusicFEST 2006 thru 2010 Gospel MusicFESTs
with the theme "Sing a New Song to the Lord" which are held each year
in August at Ocean Shores Convention Center. Ocean Shores, Washington

Higher Ground, Incorporated is a non-profit 501
(c) (3) Organization of the 1954 Internal Revenue
Code. It is not a
private foundation. Donors may deduct contributions for tax-purposes as
provided
by Section 170 of the IRS Code. Bequests, legacies,
devices, transfers or gifts are deductible for
Federal Estate and Gift Tax
purposes under Section 2055, 2106, and 2552 of the IRS Code.
The Board of Directors of Higher Ground,
Incorporated consist of dedicated Christian businessmen
who have a heart for
supporting this ministry and helping reach communities with the Gospel of
Jesus
Christ through a variety of means.
The
Reverend Ronald I. Whitney and wife, Wanda, minister under
Higher Ground
Incorporated through various ways, such as setting
up area meetings/events,
guest speaking at churches and retreats,
Christian/Gospel music and worship
ministry, and missionary tours
to Africa, South America and Malaysia, as
well as throughout the
United States.
